Informatics in
Secondary Schools
Evolution & Perspectives
During the last 20 years, the period Informatics has been taught in
Austrian Secondary Schools, Informatics has experienced
drastic evolutions and even some shifts of paradigms.
This applies to an even larger extent to the Didactics of Informatics.
ISSEP – Informatics in Secondary Schools, Evolution and Perspectives
will provide an opportunity to take stock of developments in the field and
on the extent these developments are relevant for school.
Developments and didactical approaches in teaching Informatics or
IT-relevant subjects will be reflected on pedagogical grounds.
Problems of system administration and the use of computers in other subjects
are also in the scope of this conference.
On the basis of these challenging areas, participants will consider
how to cope with future demands of education in Informatics.
Teachers, colleagues working in teachers-education
and in-service training, or in school administration are welcome
to share their experience or vision on an international platform.
The conference takes place from March 30th to Arpil 1st, 2005,
i.e., in the week after Easter.
At this time, Klagenfurt, on the sunny side of the Alps,
has normally nice spring climate during the day.
But you’d be better prepared by bringing also
a sweater for cool evenings.
